well technically, one can scatter toward one side, meaning if we use cardinal points, and we say they go “southward”, some will go “south”, others “south east”, others “south west”, and some would go “wsw”, “ssw”, “sse” or “ese”, not “completely toward a specific direction”, but scatter toward one general direction
Sad to say Mr. jhughey—-that hat was eaten by a hungry saltwater crocodile in the Yellow River, Australia several years ago when it was blown off my head by the wind. However, I have several others he may borrow…….:)= Eh, saywhat?:)=

You don’t scatter in one direction, you run in one direction. You scatter in all directions. Not to be too nit picky.
