I think Letha is playing both sides. And yes, since when would an elephant know the language of the great apes? I guess being bi-lingual in the jungle could come in handy.
“Ben Tantor” is a sleazy lawyer in L.A. working for the ACLU, what’s he doing in Tarzan’s jungle? The clock is ticking for Wolf and Letha who will likely not mkae the sequel story. And where is thick-brained Larson, still asleep in his tent? :)> CastOfClownsAGowa!!

Tantor is just going where Tarzan is pointing, Tantor doesn’t understand him so Tarzan just talks louder.
