The technique, as I heard it described, is to stand or crouch with the spear lowered. The lion charges and leaps. Brace the butt of the spear on the ground and raise the head as the lion leaps. Aim the head of the spear at a vital spot on the lion (and try not to flinch!). The lion impales itself on the spear. You might want to lunge away from the thrashing lion about then, though.

Strange – there’s still about 64 strips to this story (I just counted them, and yes, rdmacgregor, you’ve hit it today) – I wonder if it’s going to be condensed or if we’re really going to have 64 more days of “The Fires Of Kohr”? I had thought by the strip number there were less than 9 left…
