This is the second time in this story line where Tarzan kills someone rather than rendering them unconscious in order to escape. This isn’t the Tarzan I remember.
It’s fortunate for Tarzan that the only guards that he encounters while trying to get in or out of a place always seem to be asleep. Must be the hot, humid African air.

Unfortunately, the village did hear Volthar’s whispers due to their excellent hearing and were alerted to the escape attempt.

Why would the village be quite when they are about to have a big party? Good thing he didn’t kick out or struggle too much when Tarzan grabbed him.

An alternate solution would have been to lure the Frogman into a giant pan of tepid water then slowly bring it to a boil.
