The cats never had a chance with picking the winning door as Chesney only had one “prize” to award. Poor Annie and poor cats. :-)

GweedoGlad than Pam is on the mend. Her card went out this morning and I think she is going to be snowed under with good wishes. I agree the staff is going to wonder where she got the time to cultivate so many friends!

On a serious note, We spent the day under a heavy blanket of smoke. It was worse than you could imagine. Many acres in Washington and Oregon are on fire, with hundreds of homes lost. We also lost 3 young firefighters, 2 were college kids on a summer job.Please take a moment and say a prayer for all the firefighters Still no rain in sight, .

my card will be posted tomorrow, hope Pam gets it, I don’t know how long it will take to get there, maybe she will be home, fit & heallthy, she should be with the whole world wishing her well!!!

Oh, Gweedo, I’m so sorry, but I do not understand the second part of your sentence: " …unless she is already on with one-a you goomers." Shame over me! There is no translation for “goomer(s)” in my normal dictionaries nor do I understand the examples for goomer in Urban Dictionary GOOMER=Psychedelic mushrooms??? I guess it is a funny thing!goomer

This has two reasons: Among others I love hillbilly music and my former friend from Missouri gave me the nickname hillbillygirl and so it is still nowadays. giggleGweedo has the addy and Paula has it (but she has my addy at AOL).

That’s what it sounded like one of my previous cats was saying when she was, shall we say, ‘in season’ before we had her spayed. My mom kept telling her, ’you’re not getting it!’

Loved the Beverly Hillbillies growing up – Granny was the best – but my favorite was F Troop.

In the beginning, any rides i will be giving i will be on the clock. My boss has promised me that.In fact she all but insisted. That way i will get my regular hourly wages. Also, if I’m on the clock i will be covered by the company liability insurance.If the client is not given a milage allowance by disability or any health insurance then i will ask for compensation for gas.And i won’t insist on that.The reason I’m doing this is because i want to help. Its not to make extra money off of the clients.I will say that I’m going to go into this with my eyes wide open. There is no guarantee that my job will last forever. Having the van does give me a safety net if something happens to the company i work for.The local medical transport sub contracts out to independents. And they are spread so thin that it would be easy to pick up work from them.

@Gweedo: Just read last night’s comments. Your report on Ppyfss (Pam Y) touched me very much. Thank you SO much for being such a wonderful friend to her. Now…I will read today’s strip and comments.

I sent her one this morning from Canada. I think LadyCat is the only other Canadian here.

I loved that show. Granny was the best. Buddy Ebsen was great as Uncle Jedd.

Trying to catch up on everybody. Glad Pam is getting better.The smoke here in Denver is really bad too, and to add insult to injury, I have come down with a case of pneumonia. They say the third day is the worst. So hope tomorrow I will feel better.Now I have to catch up on all my comics. Hopefully I can at least for a while tonight.
