/// Daniel Knight has portrayed Jeannine Gleaning.
She seems sad; thereâs no grinning or preening.
Barley left in the field
provides almost no yield.
Life in poverty holds little meaning.

It was the task of young peasant Jeannine
To go round the cut grain fields to glean
Whatever was missed in the recent harvest
In small fringe sections away from the rest
Of the sown tracts until they were picked clean
.
Jeannine was lonely and gleaning as tasked
With what females young and old both were asked
To perform as boring jobs to their ability
And within their frail female capability
That according to tradition males were unasked
.
Poor Jeannine was often prone to fantasize
That the scarecrows in the fields were real guys
One handsome scarecrow in particular
Tended especially to tickle her
Despite his frown something sparked in his eyes
.
Then one day poor Jeannine disappeared
Or so to the village it appeared
For a female scarecrow bootzafrau
Had appeared next to the male one somehow
And both smiled widely ear to eared

Sally fretted over the message she may be sending, worried this new Tinder profile photo was a little too wild.
