It sounds like you live out West somewhere. If you’re ever in Virginia, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park. Better yet, let someone else drive so you can do all the rubbernecking you want.

It has been that long since the NPS was founded? Wow. I’ve been to Yellowstone, Arches and Olympic, but no others come to mind.

Luckily I live in California. Yosemite is my favorite place ever, but each park has it’s own particular beauty.

Hopefully they’ll be able to keep the gondolas and zip lines out of the grand canyon like is currently being discussed.
