Never heard of kinkajous. Are they found in the American Southwest or somewhere?

This reminds me of a cereal that came out in the 1950s with four different mascots on the box. There was Katie the Kangaroo, Chester the Chimp, Elmer the Elephant, and — Tony the Tiger. Yep, Tony stayed around and the cereal was Frosted Flakes.

My first exposure to a kinkajou was on the old Johnny Carson ‘ToNite’ show. Jim Bridger (Wild Kingdom) had brought one. It gave a mighty leap which would have carried it 20 ft. to the next tree. Except it was 13 in. into Johnnys’ face!

The first O in opossum is silent.

I picked up a opossum once (by the scruff of the neck). Nasty little beast!
