    No good teachers today, hence the reading list for Summer. I can remember when we got till after Labor Day off and actually had the Summer to go on vacations and spend time with family.

    Nice blanket condemnation. The summer reading list is a result of Education Theory. See Tigger’s comment above. Teacher’s have it imposed on them.

    Those stragedy computer games require alot of mental thought, that being said a book is more like watching TV, doesn’t require much brain power but definitely requires imagination and they can take you places in the world you’d never be able to go, not to mention other worlds. I like reading for that very purpose.
