@WayneS: I signed up for the ‘do not call’ option, but I still get calls from a robovoice claiming to be the IRS, demanding payment for a debt I’d never earned enough to owe. So I guess you can’t even trust the ‘do not call’ option…
When we were young kids, my brother had a warped sense of humor. The phone would ring and my brother would pick up right away and demonically mutter ……Chain’s mortuary, you stab ’em, we slab ,em! never got too many repeat calls….
I keep getting one supposedly from the IRS telling me that they are filing a lawsuit against me and to call a certain number. The IRS does not work that way so I just ignore the calls. The next time I get the call, I am going to give the number to the IRS and let them sort it out.
