It may be odd, but when I first saw âcity chickenâ my mind went towards fried pigeons and not the young squabs either. Interesting to read up on the history of skewered pork/veal described as a chicken-like meal. Had never heard of it before today.
I looked up the recipe for it and it sounds quite good. Donât no why Brutus wouldnât like it. Pork and veal are quite good, although I havenât seen veal in a very long time.

I have always called Pigeons, âCity Chickensâ
