King Frog was the subject of a huge novelty hit in the early 1920s:
“Ol’ King Froggy went to town, uh-huh / Ol’ King Froggy went to town, uh-huh / Ol’ King Froggy went to town / There he met a circus clown / Ol’ King Froggy went to town, uh-huh”
This, of course, refers to the long-retired character Bippo.
