    Even more ancient days – when gas station maps were free, when gas stations had attendants who checked your oil and pump gas (yes, I know a few states still require this.)

    I still have a very nice drinking glass commemorating the first moon landing which I received free from a Chevron station in Moraga, Ca. when I bought gas there, many years ago.
