My wife loves to do dishes….dishwasher NEVER gets used. Not only that, she loves to vacuum everyday….calls it therapy. I’m such a lucky guy!!

Actually, this is how it works in the office kitchen, too. 90% male dominated workspace, ages 20 and up, average well below 30. I’m 46 and one of the precious few who have figured out the above code. Incidentally, don’t tell my wife what I wrote here … ;)

Sadly, I’m a seventy-five-year-old lady, and live alone; this is how it works in my house, too. Eventually, however, I have to put them in the dishwasher.

I was a teller in a small bank branch. We had a very small breakroom. The loan officer would eat his lunch and leave the mess for whoever to clean up. We complained but he didn’t care. The head teller got tired of this so she took his dirty dishes and placed them in his office chair. When he came back to his office we heard the dirty dishes being thrown against the wall. Then he realized he would have to clean up the spaghetti off his own wall. We never had to clean his dirty dishes again.

Years ago, I got tired of having the sink full of dishes, and took over the job of keeping it clean, putting the dishes in the washer and starting it up when full. My own dishes usually go directly into the washer. I also got tired of not having clean clothes or towels, and took over the laundry. Been doing both jobs ever since.

Shouldn’t Rule 1 and Rule 2 be in the reverse order?

Those kind of instructions get my head spinning!

    Amazing strip though.

Dishwasher died. While looking I did the dishes by hand. Found one I liked, husband was shocked I would pay that much for a dishwasher (I am cheap). Read the reviews, that one was rated dead last. From what I can read the new dishwashers do not get dishes clean nor do they get dishes dry and one has to constantly empty the filter. Also dishes have to be loaded per mgfr’s picture or warranty does not apply.

It takes me the same time to wash the dishes for the 2 of us as it did to load the dishwasher. Husband told me that it was impossible for me to do the dishes every day – I pointed out I did it for 9 years when we were first married and we only had the dishwasher because it came with the house. He had forgotten we did not have a dishwasher in our apartment!

Dishwasher makes a good drying rack.

Never missing any dishes. Dishes do not leave the kitchen, unless we are eating in the dining room, and then they are in DR or kitchen.
