At about age 10 I was visiting my grandparents. Grandpap and I went to a farmer’s market where he bought a couple big New Zealands. After playing a while I came in the house and asked where the rabbits were, I wanted to play with them. I don’t remember the answer but it was noncommittal. I then asked what was for dinner. Grandma and grandpap smiled at each other and said hasen. When I took German in college I figured it out.

Awwwww! My uncles used to hunt and grandma roasted the Hansen. One thing though, you had to strain the BBs through your teeth….LOL
