I voted today. I applied to work as an election inspector, and if I get accepted and don’t get posted to my own precinct, I’d miss the chance to vote on the 4th (which is the 42nd anniversary of the day the miniskirt reached the US from the UK).
The endless political re-election cycle and continuous running-for-office is almost enough to make some of us long for a monarchy. Everything’s actually run by corporations in backroom offices on K-Street anyway. The entertainment value of a Royal Family would be so much more pleasant than our current crap-throwing nasty politicians and their endless campaigns.
