It’s those pistil packing mamas that you’ve got to worry about.
I always try to rescue pollinators from my pool (and I used a rough aggregate in the pond/waterfall (to give good foothold to birds and insects). I worry about the scarcity of bees in the last few years.
My niece is collecting insects for her college entomology course, and she has noted five distinct species of bees in the area
mmmmm…. petunias.
