Excellent! Most nursery rhymes were dark. Like ring around the rosey. It is a reference to the Black Plague. People put herbs and posey’s in their pockets to keep the plague away.
Somewhere recently I saw an interesting take on the Old Woman in the Shoe which implied that she was, like Jack, a Giant-Killer. Think about it: where DID she get that shoe?
Based upon the photo chosen to represent the cow re-entering the atmosphere and bursting into flames, all the E. coli would have been cooked out of the cow by the time the remnants hit the ground.Of course, Pab, using the destruction of the space shuttle Columbia to illustrate that was in extremely poor taste.

Bursting into flames should have cooked the cow enough to kill the E-coli unless it was tartare extra rare.

Really, why the North Carolina border? North or south? Coming from South of the Border http://www.thesouthoftheborder.com/gallery/nostalgia-history/?
