I remember several years ago, before my medical issues put me on disability, I put my resume on one of those internet sites. I was looking for work as a technical writer and working toward an associate degree in the field at the time. I remember how excited I was when I actually got a call from someone, then they started talking about how I’d be such a great fit for their company based on my resume, but at the same time they were very evasive whenever I’d ask about the job or position. Finally I asked outright if he was offering me a sales job and he admitted he was. I asked him if he’d even bothered to read my resume since I’d specified that I was looking for a position as a technical writer and he suggested that I take the sales position while looking for a writing position. That’s when I hung up, I figured any company that evasive about the job they were offering had to be shady, and their product was short as well.
