When my eldest was in first grade, I learned to accept that her grades were HER grades. Provide a place and time for study, take them to the library when needed, offer help when it’s asked for. Other than that, it’s their responsibility. Must have worked, all four kids have bachelor’s degrees and one is working on a PhD.
