tom the dancing bug presents: news of the times symbol of us-cuba conflict found. delighted to have a focal point to play out their differences, jubliant adversaries in the us-cuba conflict have been sparring over a symbol of geopolitcial tensions found in the waters off the florida coast. the fact that the symbol's mother died trying to get the symbol to the us only heightened its symbolic value. this shows the value of freedom and the lengths to which people will go to obtain it! it shows the arrogance of the us in keeping this traumatized symbol from its sole surviving parent! the us anti-castro lobby refuses to allow cuba to hold this symbol on its soil as a trophy of us capitulation. we need to keep this symbol in order to show that usa is the best place for it! in cuba, castro-led demonstrators emptied their rhetorical arsenal in an attempt to retrieve the symbol. we demand not only a victory, but a symbolic victory! a cuban-american congresswomen is extremely excited about the us having the symbol. i've got castro's attention now! look at what a great poster the symbol makes! where will this geopolitical tug-of-war end? giddy activists on both sides are looking forward to the battle!
