There is a reason gods and suchlike should only appear in the funny pages. When people start taking them seriously it’s madness. Just look at the Middle East, especially Gaza.
Said it before, bears repeating: “Go forth and kill the Philistines. Kill the men, the women and the children. Kill their flocks and their herds. Kill everything that breaths. Burn their cities to the ground and then rebuild upon the land”. NIV, at least as best as I can remember it. But “thou shall not kill”. Please remember, gods are created by man, not the other way around.
There is some fantasy I have enjoyed, but any tale based upon supernatural anything loses any entertainment appeal it may have for me if/when people accept its supernatural components as a literally factual historical account.
Especially when people base and/or attempt to “justify” any morally repugnant actions, by themselves or others, upon the tale’s messaging, and also base/justify any of the reprehensible behaviors of the characters in it — including those actions/behaviors of any supreme “divine” character(s) in the tale.

Yes, we know. It is Thursday. It is a reprint. Does that change its relevance? No.

You gotta go with the New Comic book. What’s going on in Gaza is a perfect example of going by what’s in the Old Comic book.

I don’t know who here saw “Krapopolis” last week, but it was directly relevant.

Isn’t there something somewhere that “Thou shalt not worship rapists and traitors”?
