I’ve got my old P-38 as well.

One in every C-Rat kit in the olden days. It took forever to open a can with one of those things.

I dont know about you but,I used my bayonet if I wanted to eat the same day.

Anyone remember canned ham and eggs? Smelled like Alpo and tasted like it too.

My scout dog Ruger, Serial Number 77X9, loved it and the canned pork and beans as well.

Since this is a comic strip, I dont want to bum anyone out, but the world should know that the Army scout dogs saved thousands of GI lives in Vietnam and the sorry a—— Army left most of these canine hero’s behind to be left in the jungle or eaten by the IP’s.

We should honor our canine buddies more than we do they were “Hell On Paws” to our enemy. FYI, only a few returned to the US. Thanks for reading.

Everyone needs a Camilus CM-697 instead of the P-38.

I still have my P-38 from the Vietnam era. Forget computers, jet aircraft, and penicillin. The P-38 was the greatest invention of the 20th Century — costs practically nothing, indestructible and lasts forever.
