Now switch it to be Bush and a donkey on the platform and remember what it was like for eight years. Liberals hated Bush and treated him exactly as Obama is treated today.
To be fair, I think Bush was treated much, much worse… certainly by and in the press. But then again, Bush’s approval rating was much, much lower and so, when being a Dem, treating Bush bad earns political points were as working with him is a probably a total loss.
^^ “To be fair,” Bush didn’t have a lot of vocal attacks coming from the far Right on his policies, and had vigilant “support our President or you’re not American” defense from the rest of the Right, whereas Obama has dissent from his supporters for pandering too much to the Right. Bush did not pander to the Left.
^ I suppose that’s no worse than the “looney right” who think Obama isn’t born in the United States regardless of how many forms of his birth certificate above and beyond the information he is required by law to show and won’t be satisfied until “one of these who isn’t like the others” gets removed from office. Hawaii isn’t a state, after all. Commence pandering. *

shouldn’t the elephant have a bucket over his head?

He approval rating has been on a constant slide – he could yet hit Bush territory! LOL
Obama should be wearing the bucket, and the elephant with one on his foot – plenty of idiocy on both sides!
