No one I know likes pennies. It costs about two cents to produce a one cent penny. I almost always tell the cashier to keep them, and yet I find myself having to cash in 75 cents worth every couple of months. Why do we still have a one cent piece? Ask the powerful zinc lobby, that supplies the metal to mint them!
