In addition to the DVD of the good Popeyes, I also picked up a set of the made for TV cartoons- just for laughs. They’re like a crash course in how NOT to make a cartoon. Prime example:Popeye Meets The Giant. So sloppy and inconsistent, it’s almost surreal.
I guess that Roy is an equal oppurtunity Sci-Fi geek. I always pictured him as more of a Trekie(or Treker), but he shows his love for anything Sci-Fi, whether is be Star Trek, Star Wats, Dr. who etc. etc.
Most blatant goof: ‘Brutus’ (the name change is another story!) is laughing at Wimpy. For most of the sequence, they’re in Brutus’ living room. For one closeup, Brutus is suddenly outside, laughing in the window- then for the long shot he’s back inside. Cut and paste animation at its sloppiest.

Roy is wide minded. If it’s fantasy, it’s good.

Roy loves both Star Wars and Trek and can’t understand why anybody wouldn’t love them both.
