A couple of decades ago, a huge mall was built near me on swampy land. It’s still standing, but I do recall that shortly after it opened there were cracks all through the parking lots, and the concrete floors inside. And the unpaved ground around it felt springy.

university I worked for built a building, we used to have steps going up to the 1st floor, now we have steps going down to the first floor
