I went to work on one once and found they forgot to turn it on. Stuff like this really happens, and we tech guys come back with funny stories and paychecks for easy fixes.
Back in the 90’s – our 15 year old photocopier was held together with paperclips and elastic bands. (don’t forget the duct tape!) Service guy just laughed at us. But it worked for years longer than anything else.
