sorry boss, won’t get up the hill on #7 and the battery conks out by #15 plus there’s only room for one with a bag – ‘original’ Prius the nightmare to be behind on a two-lane (can you tell I love them?)
Ya know, I had a regular gas-engine car 1.5L engine back in 1990 (Chevy Spectrum) that got 45mpg highway when new (EPA said 39 highway.) It could hold four people (five if three of them wanted to get really cozy) and had a nice big hatchback area. Now-days, you get a 2-seater smart car that can maybe hold 2 bags of groceries and still can’t do a lot better mileage-wise.
I’ve got a 2012 Prius-C that holds four people (5 if 3 want to get cozy) and I have averaged 51+ mpg over the lifetime of the car (7.5 years so far). Bonus: I can park anywhere I want to!

Use the smart car, it’s just a golf cart with doors.
