When my wife and I were on safari in Tanzania back in ’03 the lodges were all decorated in different variations of local styles. One was a private bee hive hut. One on the ridge over the Ngorongoro Crater was finished to look like a cave, complete with rock paintings on the walls. It looked a lot like this cave. We even stayed two nights in a tent, just like the Victorian explorers. Of course, our tent had a hardwood floor, modern bathroom with marble shower and brass fittings, electricity, etc. But it had canvas sides so was legally a tent.
