No it didn’t, life isn’t fair and it’s even harder when you have to make these types of decisions based on money and it’s availability. Zach will get past this, it will be hard but if Mom goes into debt for a procedure that doesn’t even cure the dog, sorry, be realistic. I have wonderful pets but you do have to draw lines and stick with them.

Welcome to the real world. Grew up on a farm where these choices were very common.

What a downer! There could have been comic potential, since comic characters can live through anything. That’s part of the fantasy world. Why not just have him run away if they were going to get rid of him?

Yukoneric: I agree with the real world. But this is a comic strip. this should be a slight relief from reality. Animals that talk don’t happen in the real world, but here…….. lfanterickson: I agree with you.

I think this kind of harsh reality belongs NOT in the comics section.

My family and I recently made this very hard decision.

I think it is quite painful and inappropriate to see it played out in the comics where people go for fun and stress reduction.

I get my ‘reality’ from life and the News section of the paper.

Don’t need to have it slammed in my face in the comics.
