When we go t married my new wife decided to balance my checkbook and was excited and proud when she straightened it out and paid our bills for the first time. Then I asked how much she had set aside for food, gas, etc. She had never lived on her own and didn’t even think about these minor inconveniences.
A guy that worked for me had airhead for a girlfriend (later wife) …… one day she said she just couldn’t understand why they had so many bounced checks and OD charges …….. I asked her if she was keeping track when she paid out by check ……. She looked at me …… so seriously and answered that …… they still had checks so “MUST” still have money …….. ;O (hand to forehead)
