We had to apply this logic to our dog and cat the couple times they got into a fight. Once the dog figured out the cat was off limits, the two figured out how to get along… when they wanted to, anyways =p.
I thought we would see something a little more festive since Saint Patty’s day is around the corner. It could be Ziggy’s Lucky Day. Wishful thinking I guess.
Reminds me somewhat of a animated cartoon I saw one time: The mice didn’t want to eat cheese (I seem to remember the mice has overdone on the cheese and didn’t want any more.). The mice thusly wanted the cat to eat them. The cat didn’t want to eat the mice and he wanted the dog to “eat” him. The dog couldn’t be it and turned into a “judge” and had all the items and animals on “exhibit” and was using a old-style pull-type calculator and decided after a lot of computing that “it just don’t add up.”

Or, we can look at it this way…
On the food chain:
cat > fish human > cat

Dog and cat tolerate each other. A fish would throw the ecology off balance.

Maybe we should wait until we get around the corner.
