So much for Fine Dining Ziggy! Perhaps you should try the Olive Garden again. Do you remember the desert?

Ziggy, you should examine the forks that come out of your dishwasher. They have a better machine but volume ups the odds. Or they may have it in for you.

I can’t help still thinking about Ziggy putting an end to the disrespect. In this case pulling aside the table cloth and pulling out his double barreled shotgun & pulling a Han Solo. Except in this case Ziggy Shot First!

First person singular is not lower case “i”, but capital “I”, dammit!

Food for thought. Just recently I visited a new upscale restaurant in my area. When the young lady seated us another young lady came to take our order. She had no smile whatsoever. In fact she looked like she did not want to be there. She handed us the menu which she new nothing about what was in it. Oboviously she was new on board. I understand that when you are new at something it takes time to be efficient in serving people. But a smile is easy to do and it cost nothing.

Ok we let that one go…Then on to the next mistake. When she came back with some water and a basket of warm bread, she did not notice that we had no napkins or silverware. So we had to ask for that and a plate to put the bread on. Now get this….she said do you want plates???

Well yes I said, it would be nice to have a plate under your bread and butter. She seemed rather shocked that we wanted a plate for that.

Anyway as the story continues and I’m still giving her a smile and hoping that she will come through with the right food order. Unfortunately that was messed up as well.

But on the good side. It was all fixed by the owner and the food was delicious.

I have been back several times since then and I no longer see the young lady that waited on us. It is probably best that she moved on to something else. We all know that the people that work for you can make or break a business. Especially when its their BREAD and BUTTER!

I worked as a waiter for a couple of years myself, so I look at the service I get from waiters a little differently from the general public. I have also had bad service from waiters/waitresses, but conversely sometimes we, as waiters, have had to deal with customers who were pains in the neck. So sometimes, it can run both ways. (Not that I have ever been one.)
