Does anybody besides me think that maybe we ought to figure out a way to deal with the crap we already shot up there that seems to be falling back down before we shoot up any more crap? It’d be hard to blame any aliens if they took on a NIMBY attitude.
The shuttles were never meant to be a permanent thing anyway.
Guess the key ingredient here is personal safety and the Shuttles are old and getting more and more unstable for their missions. Not to mention their budgets are getting cut yearly. So now we will see (if it isnt classified) rockets shooting the payload whatever it may be hooked up in the nose, if its manned it will simply fall back to Earth the old fashioned way and a whole frigate of naval ships will patrol for its recovery.
