Last month a group of friends were arguing over the debates. I didn’t want to hear any of it and hey thought it was because of my political leanings. My argument was that the primaries shouldn’t start until the spring of 2016 and the final two candidates can’t start campaigning until July 1. A lot of what’s happening right now is a waste of time and money, but that’s our government.
may i pose a couple questions???is it because Americans(of which i r one)are so dense that they can’t make up their mind or figure things out easily – so they run election campaigns 24/7 now – or is it that the media would not have anything to talk about or at least nothing to stir up anger, hatred, resentment, boring comebacks etc ad nauseum if the stupid campaigns weren’t 24/7?is it the medias fault that we have the political stupidity and reporting that we do or is it the other way around?which came first – the chicken or the egg?
I’ve seen how people who scream for term limits and get them end up getting elected, and then start screaming to get rid of the limits because they don’t have time to make the changes they want with the limits in place.
In most civilized countries, election campaigns last weeks, or a couple of months. Not years.Canada’s longest election is this year, still under 90 days. Beginning to end.

This is a problem. You find a candidate you really trust and believe could be a great leader, and he/she turns out to be just a shell once in office…
