Although I never fly anymore unless it is on a chartered plane, I always preferred First Class because the seats were a bit larger with a bit more foot room. I am hearing this is not so much the case these days as planes are now just Greyhound buses with wings…
A woman once told Readers Digest that she was so excited about her first trip on a plane that she was voraciously sucking in everything around her, including the emergency card in the seatback pocket in front of her. She noticed how it told you what to do in case of a landing on water, a term which was rendered amerissage in French. She remarked to her husband, “Isn’t that interesting! The French have a word for landing on water! You can’t say ‘landing on water’ in one word in English!” Her husband, a very frequent flyer who was trying to nap through the emergency briefing, muttered, “Splash!” and rolled over.

The seat cushions must be highly expensive. (Even the lady [or man with mullet] in front of Ziggy looks worried.)

The life jackets on my boat can be used as seat cushions in case of accidental grounding…

Way too much legroom.
