There’s always that one relative.

Thems is both better than city idiots.

Even village idiots can aspire to run a country.

Such a promotion!

This could even happen today with the “court” we have now in the highest place in the country.

He was successful, From the simple village Idiot to the Kings Court Fool.

Well, that’s mean, I’ve often seen Ziggy as unfortunate or misunderstood, but never stupid

Hey, court fool is a powerful position! He’s the only guy who can get away with talking smack to the king!

Trump, his cabinet picks, and maybe 90% of self identified GOP would all aspire to court fool. That is, of course, only if they had even a remote relationship with accurate self-awareness.

There is a BBC comedy skit where a woman gets a true reading of her past lives. There were many, many lives where she did not live to be five years old, many others where she died in childbirth and the highest social position she ever held was as a male “villein”, described as a “posh peasant”. In the end, she decided to visit the charletan down the road who was able to see royal ancestors in just about everyone.
