Edda says, "I didn't tell you everything about my reverie at your concert. It ended with Rick's speech from 'Casablanca,' when he tells Ilsa she must go with Victor." Amos says, "Except, you were Rick, and you were telling me I must remain a dancer, that I'd regret it if I gave it up. And you seemed to know me so well, and to know that I couldn't stay with you....And now you show up with that ring case." Amos says, "Let me put the rung on your finger." Edda says, "If you put the ring on my finger, I might say no...and I might say yes." Edda says, "Either way, I'm going to hurt you." Amos says, "...Let me put the ring on your finger."
