Humph. Not everywhere, Marvee. In the old agrarian society the women knew their place. In this one, these old stereotypes aren’t funny because they’re no longer valid! Adam stays home with the kids and allegedly does some work. What is her place? What’s his? Who the heck knows? I get up with my kids as much as my wife does, and she’s a stay-at-home Mom.
It’s a joke people! The mom is probably having the same dream about Adam getting up with the kid! I have the same dream about my alarm clock (which is located in the other room for a reason!). I dream someone got up and turned it off for me so I could get some more sleep rather than listen to it go off. No one ever does, but I dream of it. (sigh)
If she stayed at home and he worked away, the idea would be that she had the kid all day and he should get up. Here the working/nurturing roles are reversed during the day, so she SHOULD get up!!!

How is this family different than any other where the mom is at home? She still gets night duty.

She’s probably dreaming the same thing, only it’s Adam getting up!
