On family trips when we were driving by a cattle ranch, my sister and I would roll down the windows and yell, “Moooooo!”

Ride a motorcycle across Nebraska. No way to escape the smell.

Cattle smells aren’t bad if they are in a field with grass of some kind to eat. But when they are all together in a feedlot, they DO stink!

I used to spend my winters in Texas. Driving by the feedlots at slaughterhouses was the worst smell. Kind of a cross between manure and fear. Pastures are pretty benign.

Traveling across the USA we happened upon miles and miles of stock yards in NE, and all the cows were huddled around the sign “BEEF, Whats for Dinner”
