Adam: I'm taking the kids to the store. Do you need anything? Laura: I'm all set. Thanks. Katy: We're finishing up our Christmas shopping. Adam: But it's a surprise, so don't try to guess your present. Laura: Omg. I can't believe I haven't even started shopping yet. I feel so alive! So spontaneous! So doomed.
If you want to keep in the spirit of giving stuff but can’t deal with Christmas, why not give Epiphany presents. Actually, that would make more sense because Epiphany (January 6) commemorates when the Magi came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Plus, you get to make use of the after-Christmas sales.
As for me, not too many gifts this year. And I am working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
