Clayton: Dad's idea to move the drink stand to the park was genius! Katy: We're rolling in it. We've made more than $30. Clayton: I'm gonna buy a solid-gold skateboard. Katy: I'm gonna get a pony with purple eyeshadow. Clayton: "When life gives you lemons make lemonade" indeed. Katy: Shh! I've been using a powdered mix, not lemons.

Oh, boy! Thanks for reminding me. I have a large cannister of that stuff in the pantry that I had forgotten about.

Yeah, when I’m out in the heat I drink water. Conditions have to be just right for lemonade. For one, I’ll need to brush my teeth soon after. Then I’ll go back to water. (Tap water filtered through a Pur filter).

Fresh lemon juice kills salmonella among other common food poisoning bacteria. Real, fresh lemonade at community picnics or fairs will keep your family from getting sick from the food.

That much I assumed Katy. No way Adam was going to help out with that chore. I doubt the kids could use a knife, which leaves mom doing all the work. Nah that’s not gonna happen.

I like lemonade…as long as it’s made out of real lemon juice with a sugar substitute.

$30? On the wusa9 web site (I won’t even try to post a link), there’s a story about Montgomery County, MD fining kids $500 (later waived) for setting up a lemonade stand. So they have about $470 to go before they break even . . .
