Katy: So you actually work at staying young at heart? Adam: I do. So, I'll watch a monster movie or read some comics or something. Katy: What's the difference between "young at heart" and "immature"? Adam: No clue. Let me know if you figure that out. Katy: I bet mom has some idea.

^I promise you, it is not a bogus concept. Put a parent in with his/her children in a crisis situation (say, a house fire) and see who’s mature. Maturity is seeing beyond one’s personal desires for something more important. (Part of my job requires me to work with children of a wide variety of ages. Maturity matters).

I say it’s all a matter of perspective. One person would see “young at heart” as “immature” and vice versa. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are one and the same, or that one person is right over the other.
That said, I don’t really see Adam as immature, overall. But I will say that he’s “younger at heart” than most.
