Katy: How are we going to make "Adorable Zombie Ponies: The Movie" without ponies??
Adam: Well, I think I found a solution.
Katy: Oh, no.
Adam: One "pony". This is indie filmmaking, sweetie!
Katy: My vision is being compromised!
Saw one of the neatest indie film tricks in a film class I took in college. Scene involved a bunch of people poking around the crashed remains of a huge alien spaceship. View was from spaceship’s aft, where you saw one huge exhaust port and four smaller exhaust ports. Turns out the kid who shot the film made use of incredible depth of field and held a stand for an electric toothbrush and its four heads under the camera while his friends poked around many, many feet away, making sure not to walk under the toothbrush holder.
