If I want reality, I’ll watch what passes for the news these days. I read and watch movies to get away from reality. This is why I don’t watch newer movies that use foul language and explicit sex scenes, and same reason I don’t like to read books that also use foul language and explicit sex. So, I watch a lot of old movies (Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn…). They do smoke and drink liquor in those movies but that’s tolerable, and read a lot of older books.
