I once saw a guy trying to ship buckets of concrete from one of those little fed-ex drop off places. The nice woman working kept trying to explain to him that he COULD ship it with fed-ex, but they put materials like that on separate trucks than regular old boxes (and as someone who was shipping a gift, I appreciated that) so he had to go to the full size fed-ex place, not the express drop off. Then the guy says he’ll just buy some big cardboard boxes from her, stick the buckets in, and no one will ever know. Of course she said no, because she would know, and quite likely get in trouble. I waited 20 minutes before I butted in and said my postage was paid, could I please just get my receipt and tracking number and go. To this day I think about that man and wonder how long he stood there arguing with her. He definitely spent way more time fussing than it would have taken to just go to the full size store.
I don’t have a point, I’m just bored and felt like telling this story.
