I worked the front counter of a fast food place for a while. When a customer came with a problem, you were supposed to pleasantly solve the customer’s problem.
Then there was one kid, whenever he saw me talking to a customer, would bustle over. “What seems to be the problem here?” and make the customer explain all over again.
Then, since he didn’t really know what was going on, would fetch the shift manager and… make the customer explain the problem again.
And I could have solve the problem in a few seconds and sent them away content.
