Biggest scam, I have a coupon if I don’t use it I’m losing money. Therefore I will spend $$$ to save pennies.

I was grocery shopping a couple of years ago and found a coupon “sale” of buy 3 for $12.00, regular price $5.00 each. There were only 2 on the shelf so I got them. When I got to the register, the items rang up at $5. each. When I complained, it was pointed out that I had to buy 3 to get the sale price. I replied, “I can’t buy 3 when you only have 2 in stock.” The cashier got the assistant manager, who came over, looked at the coupon, checked the inventory and found out there were only 2 and said the price would still be $5 each. At that point, I told him to keep them, finished my checkout and left. He was mad that I wouldn’t put them back on the shelf. I would never have gone back, except that store is 1 of 3 in town, so my alternatives at that time were pretty limited.

I rarely find occasion to use coupons.

Considering the store bought the product at 5 dollars…..
