Remember the Christmas they got stuck in the snow and a kindly innkeeper gave then a room? I think their truck was blue… Not that it matters (creative license and all), but my brain needs to know.
A loooong time ago in the clunky PA industrial town in which my grandparents lived, there was a little grocery store that delivered the groceries to you. You called in your order and an hour later there was a kid at the door with it. Granny sure could have used that store this time.
I keep remembering the David Niven movie with him having three daughters. One explains they may all be blasted to kingdom come by nuclear bomb at any moment..Niven responds, “And if we are, YOU are going with a clean room.”.The blast is still possible at any moment but many have come and gone since that movie and MY room is still messy, just in case.

Two wheel drive pickup in deep snow= stuck. (Unless you load up the bed with sand or bricks.)

That Christmas tale from a couple of years ago keeps coming up in the comments…. It’s worth another look….
Starts Dec 13th 2011….or just Click HERE
And yeah, Frugal, that truck was blue…but probably, Tony only colors his own Sundays.
The colorist for the dailies may not have as good a memory as yours…
or, after two years, may not be the same person…. and they have to work very fast, no time to search the archives…
Hmm… it looks like a different truck anyway…the old one had a shorter bed and big round fenders.
It may have finally died…and someone in the church or some charitable group has helped them get another old clunker.
Hope your brain feels peaceful now…. :)

maybe Grandma is just into classic trucks

This truck is newer, from the 50’s I’d say. The old one looked like it was from the 40s. They appear to be moving up in the world.

Are you kidding? That’s a Delinquent’s natural position. And Snarl is their native tongue, with a subset of Mumble. ;-)

That’s right, Agnes. If you and Grandma are going out, you’re going out literate and like ladies!

Shoot yes, you should see the kids in juvenile court, slouching away.

Sitting up straight was certainly stressed when I was
growing up. By parents, and schools!
